How do I activate the Benefits Card?

A

Activate your card by using it for your first purchase! There is no need to call.

When will my Benefits Card arrive in the mail?

A

Your Benefits Card will arrive within 14 business days of your plan start date or from the date you requested another card. The card will be mailed to you at your home address that you listed on your plan enrollment form.

Why do I need to submit documentation?

A

Whenever possible, Employee Benefits Corporation uses electronic methods to verify Benefits Card expenses as required by the IRS, but there are times we aren’t able to do so and you will receive a request to submit documentation. When this happens, simply submit the copy of the letter you received from us along with documentation from your service provider that shows the date of service that you paid for, the type of service provided, and the amount you paid. You can submit requested documentation with your mobile device using My Mobile Account Assistant, from your desktop using My Account Assistant or using fax, U.S. Mail, or email (not a secure method.)

Why isn’t my Benefits Card working?

A

There are a few different reasons:

        • If you have received a Documentation Request and have not provided the necessary documentation, your card maybe temporarily suspended awaiting the documentation

        • The total amount of the transaction you are attempting is greater than the available balance on your card

        • You are attempting an ineligible expense or the merchant is not set up to accept your Benefits Card

How do I find a store that will accept the Benefits Card?

A

The Store Locator is available on the SIGIS website. Be sure to select the "IIAS" radio button when prompted.

What is the password to open an email attachment?

A

The password to open your Documentation Request is the last four digits of your Benefits Card.

How do I request additional cards?

A

You will receive one card in the mail. You may request an additional card by logging in to your account and clicking on “Secondary Benefits Card” under the Manage category.

How do I report a lost or stolen card?

A

In the event that your Benefits Card is lost or stolen, please call the number on the back of your card, or, log in to your account at www.ebcflex.com as soon as possible to deactivate the account and prevent unauthorized use.
